MUSEUM PASS POLICY
The Belmar Public Library is pleased to offer free passes to The Grounds for Sculpture (admits four) in Hamilton, NJ, and The Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum (admits six) in New York, NY.
Borrowers must have a valid Belmar Public Library card; be a member in good standing for at least six months; and be at least 18 years old.
Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance by calling the Library at 732-681-0775 or in-person during posted Library hours. The passes are lent for no more than four days, which includes the day they are picked up and the day they are returned, and the passes are not renewable. Pickup and return are done at the Circulation Desk and the passes may not be returned in the book drop. It is the patron’s responsibility to check with the museum to ensure it is open and operating on the date they have chosen.
When the Museum passes are picked up, the following are mandatory:
a) The borrower’s Belmar Public Library card must be presented;
b) Photocopy will be made of the borrower’s photo ID & major credit card (which will be destroyed when passes are returned);
c) A $20 returnable deposit.
A $10 per day late fee will be charged if the passes are not returned on the fourth day. If a Museum pass is lost, the borrower will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the pass ($400 Grounds for Sculpture and $500 for The Intrepid). Limit one pass per household per reservation. Only one pass may be borrowed at the same time. If you find you cannot use the pass, please cancel the reservation so someone else can reserve it.
