Overall she has studied with many other brilliant teachers accruing over 1500 hours of training thus far. She holds an honorary degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Heartwood Institute and is a member of the National Qigong Association. \nMelinda has been an Asian Healing Arts Practitioner since 2001. She began her journey with qigong and tai chi as a daily practice over 28+ years ago. On a healing path away from injuries and stress she was led to eventually become an accomplished bodyworker & certified teacher of Qigong. This life has brought her much joy and happiness\, teaching all ages and abilities. \n  \nFREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!! \n  \nWhat is Qigong?\nQigong is an ancient healing art that involves moving the body mind and spirit comfortably with the stillness of meditation. This means they interact with nature using multiple senses (including sight\, hearing\, touch\, smell\, and taste) and create works of art that incorporate what they observe.  \n  \nThursday\, September 5\, 2024 at 4pm – Twigs\, Flowers & Leaves \nStudents will create a frame with leaves and flowers being the centerpiece. \nSupplies: Twigs\, sticks\, flowers\, leaves\, hot glue\, string\, found materials \n  \nFriday\, October 11\, 2024 at 4pm – Seeds \nStudents will create a mosaic using various seeds in an interesting fall shape. \nSupplies: Seeds\, cardboard\, white glue\, sticks\, hot glue\, string\, found materials \n  \nFriday\, November 1\, 2024 at 4pm – Pine Cones \nStudents will create a painted pinecone to celebrate the fall season. \nSupplies: Paint\, brushes\, felt\, hot glue\, string\, found materials \n  \nFriday\, December 13\, 2024 at 4pm – Seashells \nStudents will create a holiday themed design using shells. \nSupplies: various sized shells\, white glue\, board\, hot glue\, found materials \n  \nFriday\, January 3\, 2025 at 4pm – Feathers \nStudents will create a dream catcher using feathers and beads. \nSupplies: Feathers\, beads\, circle form\, white glue\, yarn\, hot glue\, string \n  \nEach lesson lasts about 45-60 minutes. \nGood for all ability levels. \nNo prior art experience necessary. \nParents/guardians must accompany children.  No drop-offs please. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”REGISTER HERE TO ATTEND THIS PROGRAM” color=”success” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fforms.gle%2FtkSY7YBSSSFzcAYc9|target:_blank”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
