Join us for a special presentation by Belmar resident and author Patrick Amoresano as he discusses his book “The Forgotten Father of Notre Dame Football.” This fascinating work uncovers the story of Patrick Connors, a young Irish orphan whose contributions to Notre Dame helped establish the foundation for the university’s storied football program.
Amoresano’s book traces Notre Dame football from its earliest beginnings through to recent triumphs, including the 2024-25 season. and features historical images and interactive QR codes that link to relevant websites and videos for an interactive learning experience.
This event offers a unique opportunity to meet a local author and learn about a unique piece of sports history. A Q&A session will follow the presentation, and books will be available for purchase and signing.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Patrick Amoresano is a retired trial attorney residing in Belmar, New Jersey. His father introduced him to Notre Dame football when he was 13 yrs. old. Though Pat did not attend Notre Dame, by the grace of God he was blessed to witness two of his kids earn undergraduate degrees there. So he’s a proud Double-Domer dad, and a dedicated member of the “subway alumni.”
