About The Library

Mission Statement: The Belmar Public Library will work with the community to provide materials, information, technology and opportunities to educate, enrich and entertain people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Library is dedicated to providing friendly, outstanding, personal customer service and equal access to resources for all patrons, from preschool through senior adults.  We are committed to enhancing the quality of life in our community by meeting the evolving educational, informational, cultural and recreational needs of our Library users.

Vision Statement: The Board of Trustees and Library staff work together to promote and encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning. We celebrate the diversity of our community and promote understanding of our differences.

Values Statement: The Board of Trustees, Library staff and volunteers of the Belmar Public Library recognize the following shared values:

  • We will inform and educate our community of the services and programs of the Library;

Saturdays         9 AM – 2 PM

LIBRARY FEE STRUCTURE. Adopted by Belmar Borough Council 9/12/2023

Belmar Residents are FREE and welcome to join the Library by showing two proofs of residency.

Membership for non-Belmar Residents: $25.00

Replace a Library Card: $1.00

NO LATE FEES

Pricing for all printing and copying and office machine use:
Black & White : First 5 pages are FREE, $0.25/page each additional
COLOR: $0.50/page
Faxing: FREE
Document Scanning: FREE
Scan documents to PDF or JPEG formats.  Patrons may scan documents to save on their USB stick, or have them emailed via their email account.
Electric Three-hole Punch Machine: FREE 
Ask Library Staff for access to this device
Laminating Machine: $1/per pouch, any size.
Laminate documents up to Letter Size.  Ask Library Staff for access to this device.

You, the Patron, are responsible for the security of the information on any USB Media submitted for printing services.  Accidental deletion or corruption of files on any submitted USB Media is at your risk.

Therefore, it is strongly recommended that any USB Media submitted for printing services not contain any sensitive personal information or files other than what is to be printed.

We recommend that USB media should contain only the files necessary and nothing else.

Submitting USB Media for printing services will constitute acknowledgement and acceptance of the risks and responsibilities of using this service.
