Session 5: Piet Mondrian – Geometric Grid Painting

Students will create a geometric grid project from rulers, Sharpie markers, and paint in primary colors on illustration board.

This session will explore the use of geometric shapes and grid lines to explore these elements in abstract art.

This program welcomes ALL ability levels! Each activity can be adapted to suit individual needs and skill levels. Join Certified Art Instructor Dawn Lisko as learners experience major art movements and experiment through studio sessions.

Each lesson will begin with a demonstration of new material followed by a hands-on studio project.
Good for all ability levels. Best for grades 1st thru 6th.

In our “Art Youth Series: Artist + Studio,” children will:

• Create studio projects based on major art movements to take home for display.
• Experiment with different materials.
• Express themselves in a supportive, encouraging environment.
• Take home their own art projects each session.
