Summer Reading 2026: Read the “STARS AND STRIPES”
Join Belmar Public Library for a star-spangled summer of reading as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday!
Program runs June 14th (Flag Day!) – August 24th, 2026
PreK-2nd Grade: “READ THE STARS!”
- Read 50 picture books (one for each star on our flag!)
- Record titles on your American Flag reading log
- Visit the library to get a special STAR STAMP for each book!
3rd-8th Grade: “READ THE STRIPES!”
- Read 13 books (one for each stripe on our flag!)
- Write each title and author on a stripe on your flag reading log
- Visit the library to get a special STRIPE STICKER for each book!
Complete your flag by August 24th, 2026!
Bring your completed flag to the library for display and receive a Summer Reading America 250 Prize!
